October 13 , 2011 - MediciNova announced that Kissei Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd., a pharmaceutical company traded on the Tokyo Stock Exchange (4547), will pay MediciNova $2.5 million, within 30 days, to support further clinical development of MN-221 for the treatment of acute exacerbations of asthma or chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD).
